Somewhere to play....

Post by Crazypainter »

Hi guys! Think I'm in the right section. I'm after any ideas on where I can take my bikes to somehere quiet preferably free to have a play and get used to them.

I'm in Solihull westmids and I realise track is the best place but I'm after somewhere to go just to get used to bike.

Anybody with ideas please help.

George

I live in bournville and do an hour loop over to redditch to play on the islands then past ragley hall on an amazing road then via the back of Stratford back via redditch again and home.If you catch redditch at the right time the islands are deserted and very quiet,i learnt how to get my knee down by messing about there.

These bikes aren't taxed and moted. Pure track toys.

it sounds like your only option is a track day then, sometimes they have very cheap testing days at curborough sprint course

Solihull and around the M42 has a decent number of unmarked police cars on patrol so you would have to trailer them or take them in a van.

I can't think of anywhere free where you can go.

It might be worth getting your ACU licence. A few circuits including Mallory do test days which can be cheaper than track days.

Sounds like you need to find a local farm or similar that has a hard private road, finding one one will be difficult but getting permission may prove impossible. Failing that the track is the only answer I can see.

Shall we all just chip in and buy some land and build our own track? solves all the problems lol
