Rode with a couple of friends down to somewhere just outside Hereford for 4 days of riding around Wales. It's a nice place but it's not in Wales and no breakfast either. We also had the satnav curse of everyone having different directions
It's going to be an interesting few days

Scraped my wife's car against a wall
Broke her favourite plate
Had a row with a neighbour.
If I didn't have to pick my son up from boxing later I would already be in the pub

Riding back from the nearly Welsh adventure
Coffees at Ironbridge and we haven't killed the one who booked us in to the east side of Hereford for a Welsh trip, yet

Doing nowt today - there's an "Excessive Heat Warning" in effect here, so I'm going to have to get creative..... I've got a 12-string acoustic guitar that could probably use a PITA re-string, some house cleaning, etc.

I've been too Epsom and back. I'm home sooner than expected so I'm putting my feet up with a cuppa and watching a movie. I'll log on at work just before the end of NY working day

I've spent two days arguing with Virgin Media.
My old deal ended and the new monthly payment was taking the piss.
I've final got my bill down from £120.75 a month to £49 with an O2 SIM thrown in.

Virgin Media customer service is appalling. Their products are quite good but dealing with them is only ever a hassle

Reminds me, it's about time I had a moan at BT for the amount they charge me.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just returned from taking Kiera for an afternoon walk, and what an absolutely lovely evening it is imho.
The wind has died down, the sun is still out low & strong but not hot & uncomfortable.
Glorious.!
Got home to find a Hornet in the front hall ffs.! Where the hell did that come from, this is Yorkshire not Italy.???

Just spent an hour sorting out home insurance and boiler cover. Managed to get £52 cashback on a £110 boiler cover policy including the annual service. Feeling rather happy with myself, if somewhat withering in my existence

Re: What are you doing today ??
Browsing tyres for the XR, the front Road 5 has "gone off" and worn more on the sides than the middle, a couple of times yesterday the bike ran wide for no apparent reason which with oncoming traffic on a left hander has a high pucker factor.
This is the 2nd Michelin to wear like that for me, I'm reluctant to spend top money on a tyre that will do this so I might just get a used tyre on there for winter to get the mileage out of the rear tyre, then slap a pair of not Michelins on in the spring. I've had Metzeler's and Continentals and liked them so it's between the Roadtec 01 SE and Road Attack 4, the RA3 was grippy enough to handle a Superduke GT in single digit temperatures and damp conditions but my local bike shop HATE continental tyres for some reason.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I used to wear through the fronts just as fast as the rears on the road. I'd end up with a very triangular front tyre and it was also worse when I commuted.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Watching yet another major weather event unfold back home. I'm due back on thursday and there is a good chance the bridges home will be underwater yet again.
So after coming off nights and a red eye flight I'm probably going to have to get Jess to drive 4-5 rs around the mountain to pick me up the east side of the bridge and then drive the return trip, and hope the one remaining route doesn't get closed by another slip this time

Re: What are you doing today ??
Fingers are firmly crossed for you.
I'd much rather the route gets shut from a slip before you get to it rather than while you are on it though.. just saying.

Fingers crossed for you Kiwi.
I'm just sat waiting for the MOT on the cage before I head up to see a friend for a walk.
