Re: What are you doing today ??
Just had a kid free weekend, we’re supposed to be camping, but I was just getting over a bad cold and the area we were going to camp at was forecast for -3 deg over night and 90 km winds so we pulled the pin and had a city night instead. That accidentally became a big night and we woke up the next morning to the hotel ringing and asking why we hadn’t checked out

Not happy. This morning's bicycle ride turned into an inner tube changing bonanza.

Tubeless FTW.. Only puncture I had in nearly 3000 miles is a slice from a root while running tubeless. I used to need a new tube or repair the old one every other ride before.

What I really need right now is a ravine, so I can throw the bike into it.

Enjoying the 30 minutes of a happy child. Toddler Cav has an ear and possible chest infection. Been a miserable little sod the poor thing.

Oh...I like that wood floor... looks like you went with a walnut or light oak??
The white panelling looks great too... really ties everything together well.
What is that...9-inch plank?

Washed and tidied up the wobble box, ready for a week in Devon now.
Moved the bike and made a mental note that my first job when I'm back is to remove the Whaddon dust !! Looks like it did a lap of the track as well.

I'm wrecked. I did about 35 miles cycling this morning. It was too hot, it was all in the city, etc.
I'm going to bed.

Half day today. I'm taking my lad to the football. Grab a bite to eat before the game, catch up with some mates, get disappointed by Birmingham City then go home.

I've spent most of my morning asking a client to sign a list. But he knows more about my job than I do, so every email I send gets an immediate "what about.." response.
Just sign the f!cking list and let me do my job

Re: What are you doing today ??
Absolutely exhausted.
My Son went to hospital Sunday night and due to staff shortages, he got blue-lighted down to Bristol Hospital for Children for what we were told would be "exploratory surgery". Thankfully that wasn't required and everything is okay.
So around midday Sunday I noticed his scrotum was incredibly red, shrunken and tight-skinned. He also had swelling around the base of the penis. It wasn't right and he was in a lot of pain. I rang 111 and eventually got a call back from a consultant to go to A&E within the hour. He was examined by 3 people on 3 occasions who couldn't identify the position of his testicles (even though I could see them and told them that by the end of the visit). Anyway, blue-lighted to the children's hospital because of no qualified staff for under 2s.
By the time I got down to the hospital with an overnight bag, etc, the consultant down there apologised for the first hospital wasting our time. No torsion. Testicles returned to normal position. Change of nappy brand was blamed for dermatitis.
To think we were blue-lighted for exploratory surgery due to suspected testicular torsion..... for nappy rash..... But anyway, I'm glad our time was "wasted" as I would not have forgiven them if they incorrectly diagnosed the other way.

Thankfully it turned out to be inconsequential, however all that waste of resources due to inadequate/unsuitable medics is galling isn't it.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Found a kitchen knife chucked onto the side of the road on my ride home. Took pictures and put it in my backpack (with gloves on) and now on hold to 101 to report it.
Very odd thing to throw out of the window and there has been a number of getaways from police chases recently. One of which was along this road.
