The current front disc rotor technologies look so alien they must all be so far largely unadopted to general use.?
Rotor cooling seems to have been abandoned in favour of protection.?
What is the projection we see continuing below the front axle in some images.?

It appears to be for keeping the leading edge of the disc out of the wind , thereby keeping it warm ???
Also some extend all the way to the wheel rim I can only conclude that this is for some kind of aero effects .
Just speculating , I'm not an engineer .
