Re: What are you doing today ??
Babysitting a broken bus, belts have been squealing all morning, then went quiet, now it's overheating and puking coolant...
I think it's thrown the belt but not allowed to open the engine cover to find out.
Why does this always happen on my last run before a break

Thats cool! From my googling skills seems beers with Kwacky will be much easier to facilitate now, and you get to borrow a bike of him for a changeC00kiemonster wrote:Yep. 10 mins walk to the centre and river. I've got friends we visit fairly regularly, in Norton (just south of the city itself) and my Godfather's family live in Malvern.

Yep, double-tapped, so hopefully it won't kill me. Looking forward to the rest to be honest and my new noise-cancelling headphones turned up today so happy days.kiwikrasher wrote:oh crap you double vax'ed yet? Packing a bag. I'm not feeling ill so I'm going to do a PCR postal test this afternoon and then bugger off down to the house in Wales for a week. I can't visit any clients or construction sites so I might as well work down there for a bit.

Oh how I would love to do the same! Absolutely every stage as we try to finalise our rig, something is going wrong. I'm pleased it isn't just me.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Jess' car went into limp mode again today. Same code as last time, though had to pay a mechanic this time as I'm out at work. He's cleaned the throttle body up and has it running ok again, but isn't convinced it's not a deeper gremlin. Its a 2013 Jeep compass she's had for 6 yrs, I've never liked it, but she bought it right at the point we got together so I didn't have any say.
So did some researching tonight, and convinced her a 5 dr hatch is more bang for your buck than a small SUV. The Hyundai i30's have really stood out as a value buy compared to others in that category. There just happens to be a low km one in the colour she preferred just 10 mins down the road. Going through a dealer so the Jeep sh*tter can get traded. So she's off to test drive tomorrow. I'm going to pay for it and she'll pay it off so she doesn't have to get stung by interest. Well not the financial kind anyways
I'm actually looking forward to having a drive myself!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Hyundai i30s are also very affordable in Aus compared to anything German. The i30N is 2/3rds the cost of an Audi S3 for you guys, for us they're very closely pricedkiwikrasher wrote:Jess' car went into limp mode again today. Anything Euro or British is pricey. Asia is much closer to AussieCav wrote:Hyundai i30s are also very affordable in Aus compared to anything German.
