My brother tested positive for Covid.. he came to see us last Wednesday and cuddled his Nephew. Current guidelines day self isolation is only required if in close contact within 48hrs of the positive test. Fingers crossed that guideline is accurate!

Playing with a circular saw for the first time. I know I don't need it for celotex, but with a lot of 2 meter lengths to cut it's a lot quicker.
I have learned that celotex is an absolute arse though, from being cut it seems to expand before you can fit it, and the garden looked like it had been snowing. Lol.

Not sure if I said already but the 3rd Party's Insurance admitted liability and so I can progress with getting my car repaired after being rear ended.
I've also printed out the quote for the extra job thanks for a neighbours child crashing into my car on his bicycle, and written a letter for the neighbour. I genuinely did not want to ask him for money for it but it's nearly £400 if the repair is done at the same time as the insurance repair.... I can't just write off £400.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Arrived in quarantine today, last phase and 14 days away from being home again. The Aussie Olympic swim team are here too, but a different section to where I am.
I'll be going back to a continued Sydney lockdown, 6 weeks so far and scheduled till 28 August. But the way numbers are going it won't lift then.
Will still be good to get home and cuddle my people.

It is picking up a bit of pace, but stupidly you can't get a vaccination in quarantine You'd think it be the perfect place to offer them.Kwacky wrote:I take it that the vaccination programme isn't moving any faster?
Ringing my doc to make an appointment for the AZ as soon as I get home.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Why can't you get a vaccination while in quarantine?? Is it something to do with vaccinated people still can carry & transmit the virus, so they have to know for sure that you're totally clear??
..... That's a bit of a guess obviously, but it seems kinda legit. Maybe.

Re: What are you doing today ??
So after being in lockdown before I went to work it has been some time since a haircut, so I bought some clippers (we can do click and collect and quarantine staff collect it for us) and watched a barber tutorial on YouTube for a self cut.
Yeah I can do this I thought.
Well turns out the cheap clippers I bought set numbers are no where near what they are in a hairdressers and it all went pear shaped and I now have the shortest haircut I’ve ever had since I did my basic training in the Air Force. It’s about a 3-4 on top and 1-2 on sides.
Let’s say I’ve found the limit of Jess’ humour, she is not impressed
The good news is I probably won’t need another hair cut this year
