LastMinute.Com - 25/26/27 June

Post by Kwacky »

Bored with being stuck at home, spurred on by my evening raid over the border and pissed off this month with having seen endless Facebook memories of trips to France I've decided I'm going to Wales next weekend.

The plan is to meet Friday morning (25th June) then make our way over to Llangollen.

Base is at The Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa in Llangollen for a couple of nights.

Come home on Sunday.

There's no fixed plan. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us for how ever long they want to.

And Monty - I'm still coming to your event. I just needed to get away ASAP. I'm going stir crazy.

Nice one, I can't do the whole weekend but I'll try and get my pass stamped for the Sunday.

I'm not sure yet to be honest. Jon and Frankie have got to get back down south so I imagine they'll head back . I'll see what Duke has to see.

If not too knackered I am happy to make a bit of a day of it. Its still light until late. Maybe the day aims towards home for all of us ?

Same as Frankie. I'd like to be getting back home for about 5-6pm ideally, but would be good to catch up.

My shoulder decided that two days of throwing a 250kg bike about on twisty Welsh roads trying to keep up with sports bikes was enough.

I'm home. Sorry I couldn't stay out to play today

Thanks Duke for organising everything and thanks everyone for your company.

See you all soon.

Just got back myself. Cracking couple of days riding (excluding the rain on Friday).

Good to see everyone including Monty. We will have to organise another trip for you to show me those passes you know.

Weather far better in Wales today and yesterday than in England.

Stunning views, places I have never been and some good craic.

My Beeline Moto works brilliantly too. Highly recommended.

Just made it home.

Thanks guys for a great weekend, Wales is a great place to be on a bike. Loads of places I've never been before and would happily go back.

Looking forward to a cold beer now.

A big thanks to Monty for making the effort to come over and take us on some interesting roads, got to see parts of Wales I have not seen ever before. Loved it. Can always tell when someone knows the road like the back of their hand LMAO.... A fun few days away for sure.

Thanks to Si for the leading and arranging, good choice.

Great to catch up Duke. We did the first pass out of Mach which was good, but the second one was closed when we got there. We ended up doing 20 miles of what Frankie very accurately described as motorbike gymkhana just to get around it!

I'm in bits, left the house at 8am, got home at 8pm and I think at least 9/10 hours on the bike.
