That house in the first photo is right on a sharp bend. I was almost taken out as I turned right from there.

Took it up to BMW Oxford for its annual service, managed to enjoy the last of the sun we are going to see for a few days.

Had a little play on an RR. A good bike, very very fast, nimble, and surprisingly comfortable. It just seemed to be lacking in the drama aspect, it didn't make you feel like you where riding a fire breathing monster and didn't have the pop and overrun you almost expect from a liter sports bike (it was in dynamic mode, fecking EURO5 rubbish)

Came back the slightly more scenic route, nice to feel the tyres getting warmed up properly.ImageImageImage

One last picture...

It's gone...

That's that then.

9 years of ownership, my little Japanese demon hell-bent on straightlining its way through the UK, has now been loaded into the back of a van and is currently on its way to Huddersfield, leaving a Z1000-shaped hole in the garage and my heart.

I'm sad, my plan was to keep this bike until one of us fell to bits.
Times change though, it's just not the right time for me right now to have a bike. And I'll just have to keep telling myself that.

Plus, the 5 grand that's just gone into my bank account softens the blow a bit.
To put things into perspective, I paid £6999 for it when it was new in 2012.
Nine years of biking to only lose 2k on it is doing pretty well, the COVID climate has been a big factor in that, I was told that if I'd tried to sell this 2 years ago, I'd have only been offered something like 4 grand!
It's definitely a seller's market at the moment.

I haven't sold many vehicles, and most have been part-ex'd or gone to webuyanycar because I just can't be arsed with the hassle. These guys have been faultless. They gave me the price we agreed on, no trying to haggle over little things, had a pleasant chat whilst we were doing it, the whole process was effortless and, despite waving bye to my beloved, enjoyable.

If you're looking for a quick, hassle free sale, you could do worse than give these guys a call. Free nationwide pick-up too.

Nine years and only down £2000 is about as good as it gets. That'd be cheap at twice the price.

Swapped the KTM 390 for the 890.

It was pissing it down and it was school kicking out time. Not a good combination.

Today I got out for a quick blast between weather fronts to scrub the new rear in. Roads were mostly dry, however after a months worth of rain the past couple of days, there was some serious floods.

Now bike is in a right state! not got the energy to clean it today .....

Dug out the tank bag for the SUV.

Then spent about 4 hours trying to find the right screws and which way round they go.

Packed the bike up, again, and headed off to Oulton Park.

Was going to take the interesting route, but after the weekend and a tough day decided on the motorway instead.

Note, when you change the satnav, check and check again that the email from Google has the right **** address. Was only 60 miles and 1 closed road from where I was supposed to be.
