I dunno. I'm tempted to take both the RS660 and the Tuono for a test ride.

The OEM chain doesn't look good for 600 miles.

To sell the bike at the price they do, there has to be cost savings somewhere.

They probably used the same factory as BMW, their OEM chains are made of cheese..

Quality control markings.. on bolts it’s a check that they have the right hardware and the torque has been checked

I'm calling bullshit on that, it looks like it was pressure washed then not even lubed for winter riding.

I always feel reassured when I see the yellow on the bolt lines up with the yellow on the adjacent piece.

Makes no difference to me. All it shows is the person can use a tipex pen...

The mechanic could have forgotten to torque a nut or two up and got the apprentice to mark it up who wouldn't have checked.

I picked a bike up from a dealership after a service, all marked up. Didn't show that they had split a gasket putting it back together. Covered the side of the bike and the rear tyre in oil, the saving grace was the ride was mainly motorway and 30's as I didn't notice till I got home.

It’s my understanding it’s more of a factory assembly situation Nutz, not a local mechanic protocol. And in a factory setting it’s a QC tech that check torques and marks the bolts.

I LOVE that.

If I was in the market for a new track tool... this would be it.
