Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
Your looking at it from the wrong angle IMO. It's not about getting the kids back to school, but getting the parents back to work. This government doesn't care about people, it only cares about money.

Bit like you going into a bike dealer, and buying a 916sps, then refusing to pay because it's hopeless for commuting from Romford to Lambeth. ?
I understand that but is that the case? Of it is and they specified the wrong equipment then god help us, their fooking idiots

A load of them were out of date. We didn't know until they arrived.

Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
Government rushed through the process due to the NHS running out. 'Due diligence'? No didn't bother.
This Government show no concern for proper procuremnet prcocesses. They even ignore all the rules on declaring a vested interest when it suits them.
Some ministers and advisers saw a chance to make a quick buck at the taxpayers expenses and took it.

You may be starting to "see the wood for the trees" mate.
As their primary incentive is to lever as much profit from the opportunity afforded them in their position during s unprecedented situation (rather than assisting the society they were elected to serve) I would suggest it simply highlights their primary motive for being in politics.?
They may well be utterly incompetent, however...:Blade wrote:........ then god help us, their fooking idiots

Almost sounds illegal, and a conflict of interests.

Surely if a supplier supply's out of date equipment it can be rejected and payment declined.Kwacky wrote:A load of them were out of date. We didn't know until they arrived.

Any response to this would be guesswork on my part. I've no idea what the contract says, what was agreed, what the clauses are for rejection etc.Blade wrote:

But there are groups trying to force the issue through the Courts.
Boris has his cronies are in it for themselves. They have failed in every aspect of protecting the people and health staff in this Country. They should be held to account for their actions in Court so everyone can see how corrupt they are. I have never despised a PM so much before.
And now they are having to beg parents to send their kids back to school. Even though its a legal requirement.

Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?
How do I stay alert? I have to wear a mask just to leave the house. My eyes are drawn to it like a polar magnet.... I'm frickin' cross-eyed with a tension-headache before I've reached the end of the block.
