Re: Work
I've just been placed on furlough. 80% of my salary. That missing 20% is going to hurt, it pays for all the non-essential stuff. I'm going to struggle.

Re: Work
Not good but better they made the decision now.
If workers have not been placed on Furlough by 10 June, they will be unable to join at all so the only other option is redundancy.

Re: Work
Feel your pain mate, I chewed through a significant portion of my savings while on income protection (75%) for those 14 months. Hopefully it doesn't drag out too long.Kwacky wrote:I've just been placed on furlough. 80% of my salary. That missing 20% is going to hurt, it pays for all the non-essential stuff. Yep.... I feel your pain! I need something to change quickly one way or another, cant sustain this for too much longer, i have not asked for a mortgage holiday yet, but this is going to be a call I will be making soonKwacky wrote:I've just been placed on furlough. 80% of my salary. Re: Work
Sorry its reached you too, Kwacky. Hopefully it won't be for too long. The engineering market has stay fairly afloat and as was said, IT is bouncing back now. Hopefully law peeps are getting recruited again soon.
In case you weren't aware, if you did get made redundant at the end or Furlough, as its a temporary pay you would get redundancy based on 100% of your salary. You probably knew that already.
I always try to look for positives and I'm thinking that you can concentrate on yourself and your family fully now.. and finding those little spiders! Hopefully you're managing alright though and feel free to ping me a PM if you want
