Had some fun on the way back and still beat all the cars of the lights
Nice one Bratty, glad you got a good deal buddy.
The saving on petrol will probably pay for itself
£50 a month less in petrol but it was more to do with looking after the CB1R, I've wanted to get a hack for when the weather turns Nasty but when this came available I thought feck it, got the insurance for £85 fully comp £17 a year tax and £6 a week in petrol so no brainer bud.
Mot passed , the ride to the station was fun thought there was something wrong with the bike as it did not seem to want to go. So gave it some stick and yeah it goes just fine but you have to rev it. I was laughing like a school boy it's so light and flickable.
I insured the bike on the number plate then looked on line this morning to see if it was on the register and went off the v5 hmmmmm. Something does not add up theres a letter wrong. Whoops so when I got to the mot station I had to change the plate . Well any speed traps I set off won't count
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.
He reckons he's saved £100's in fuel and wear and tear
Steve at Honda got one, he has an Audi A3 and was paying £200+ a month in fuel, Honda 125 scooter = £30 a month.
I've thought about it, but with over 30 miles to go (and a lot of it 2 lane dual carriage ways) I don't think it would work.
30 and 40 speed limit on my commute and some days with heavy traffic into town you won't even do that, I was constantly going through the gears on the CB1R so the ride on the scooter is a bit smoother and didn't add any extra time on my journey this morning.
Apart from the obnoxious frogs I like France, it's a country where coffee is made as well as we make tea and their cake making is an art form. Proves there's hope for them yet.
How's the missionary work going over there you two?

I think we frightened a few and dodged a few tractors at speed.. It's a start
We went to the local circuit today too to have a look at an open trackday. Empty track The temptation was almost too great, however the cake was waiting...
Got an email back from translogic regarding my ancient quick shifter. I needed the manual to set it up. I now understand why it was not working the 3 steps it tells you to do on the box are nothing like the 10 steps that the manual tells you to do. So hopefully that should be working soon.

Tried to fit the belly pan today but it's really twisted and warped so put it back in the box and decided to leave it off, so I cleaned and lubed the chain instead.
went out tonight to try my new HD video camera but didn't really feel with it .... did a few miles and turned round and went back
Camera is alright tho .... just need to sort a mount out for it .... I put it on the mirror arm but it vibrates too much
I put on the exhaust hanger on the way back which is sturdier but obviously my leg gets in the way
