Rode it but not washed it yet.
I'm not sportsbike fit. My legs are already hurting.

Decided to make the best of the sun and lockdown situation.
Cleared the drive to ensure safe distance to passers by and set about a decent clean. Nearly 5 hours later I've had enough. She's not showroom clean, but she's not looking bad for a bike that's done 18k through any kind of weather.

I find that with the Versys - once you start looking there's loads of polishing and cleaning to be done. They look great with a quick wash though if you keep on top of it.

Washed the MV. No snow foam, just water, a special matt paint wash and more water.

The muc-off snow foam is mat finish safe, which is a good thing as the XR is a mat finish and I didn't read the instructions brute I used it

No, it's easier. You don't have to wax/polish it.Perkles wrote: Is it hard to keep clean with the matte paint ?

Think I’ll clean the Dorsoduro tomorrow, as it’s going to be sunny.

This is why I love the Autoglym Polar Seal, by far the easiest product to apply.
Premix in the foam bottle. Connect to pressure washer. Spray over the vehicle. Switch to normal lance. Rinse off.
This takes less than 10 minutes total for the car

I've yet to find a snow foam product that will clean the car without using a bucket and sponge as well, at least when i get my car dirty.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Snow foam is enough if you clean your car regularly and use proper coatings after the clean. I haven't touched the car with a sponge or equivalent for 2 washes now. With a good coating, even just the pre wash blast with the pressure washer gets off 80% of the dirt. The snow foam removes 99% of what remains.duke63 wrote:I've yet to find a snow foam product that will clean the car without using a bucket and sponge as well, at least when i get my car dirty.
If you're washing your car once in 1000 miles then you're going to need to wash it properly by hand but the snow foam is still very good for removing the big bits of dirt which can cause damage to your paint when using a sponge.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Walking past my bike to clean the car, I decided to have a closer look at it.
Yikes.
I knew it would've picked up a bit of dust after sitting in the garage for so long, but I wasn't prepared for the sights that greeted me.
It started off as expected... ...but the more I looked at it... ...the worse it got.
And then I remembered that I haven't actually washed it since my last ride out, which was some time ago...
