Nice morning working on the bike. Started first time like a beast!
Then I spotted a leak from the radiator... I found the leak which is repairable but it does mean I need to drain the fluid and remove the radiator again!
Should just cost £30 which isn't so bad but it's just the effort
New hoops arrive, wheels off this morning and straight down to see Gary. Rain was looking like it was stopping, some serious floods on the back roads.
When home fitted wheels back on., all good so far.
Sun was out, roads looked dry, thought I would nip out for a quick scrub of the tyres, still all good.
20 miles into the ride the heavens opened, the wind did blow, hail was crashing down on my head, now not so good ha ha.....
Worse "lets scrub in the tyres" session ever!!!!! Home now trying to warm up I cant feel my fingers.....
Fitted top box rack, taken it for a ride up to the sun Inn near Norwood, a good 100mile round trip.
The exhaust system is visceral, some of the bangs I more feel than hear, I assume those have a fireball. Making me ride hard enough to wake up the traction control. Overall I think that this bike will be with me for a long time.
Got out for a brief ride. Got soaked on the way back as I stopped for a couple of scooter riders one of whom had broken down. Who only needed a n adjustable,e spanner as his earth bolt fell off but the Street has no toolkit at all.
Going to make a small one up for the future.
4 bikers in front of me rode straight past even tho he was flagging them down. Arseholes.
I've spent the afternoon in the garage. Took the MV off the stands and moved it about, a few clutch lever pulls, bounced it on the suspension then put it back on the stands.
Gave the versys a once over. Painted on some protective grease on the weld sections of the frame. ACF50 in the usual places, a quick polish and tested the lights were all working reading for work duties tomorrow.
The Honda had a big wash. Parts of the bike react badly to road salt. I didn't think there was any on the roads but it looks like I was wrong.
