Enjoy your holiday. I really like Malaga. It's got a lot going for it.

An Indian family did a homemade cooking night at our local village hall. Delicious and only a tenner each.

Yum. No restaurant can beat home cooked food.Kwacky wrote:An Indian family did a homemade cooking night at our local village hall. Delicious and only a tenner each.
One of the biggest things I miss from working in London is the Indian community at lunchtime. They all bring in left overs or bulk cooked meals, and they love to share, time, conversation, and food.

Re: What are you eating ??
In trying to improve the range of foods I can eat, I've tried something new this last week.
For the first time in 40 years on the planet, I have now taken to eating tangerines.
And cherries.
I've had issues with food since childhood. If I didn't think I would like it, then my brain had already decided that it's going to make me feel sick before it even went near my mouth.
I don't know what's changed in my brain, but I've been having the above for mid-morning g or mid-afternoon snacks instead of crisps or choccy bars, and I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Slightly less good for me but another lifetime first was a Chilli Pasta Bake at a local garden centre today,.and that was also something I found myself enjoying.
So 3 for 3 this week. There's also some blueberries in the fridge but they look suspicious to me, could go either way!

Re: What are you eating ??
I’ve done a similar thing this year Itchy. I’m a bit OCD and set in my ways. While there are very little foods I won’t eat I tend to stick to the same type of meals all the time. If we go to subway it’s always the same sub, out to dinner at the pub it’s always the same meal. Meals at home (but in part to Byrons food sensitivities) are a rotation of about 10-15 meals. Even my first 4 yrs of offshore I had the exact same meal on my Darwin over nighter.
So I’m trying to break out and not be so predictable.
So far this week I’ve had extreme cramps and diarrhoea twice over night. I’m yeast intolerant and I’ve found it’s added into a lot of things you don’t expect (mayonnaise for example) so this flying free thing isn’t really working out atm.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

I've also got to be careful with the old tummy. I don't believe I'm lactose intolerant but too much cheese and, well, maybe that's not a topic for the eating thread!

Slow cooked rib of beef, burnt end roasties, big yorkie and a few beers watching the game afterwards. Perfect winter sunday
