Re: What are you doing today ??
I played poker in person for the first time last night.. I won a hand and I wasn't first out
To be honest I was so flustered with having to shuffle, deal, burn, flop 3, keep track of the bets, organise main pots/side pots, and then think about my own hand that I wasn't playing the game how I have been playing on the app. I think I'll be more comfortable next time though (I hope).
Frustratingly, my best hand was the hand I lost with. I held Ace/Queen of Spades and flopped 2 spades. River card was a spade too so I had Flush Ace High. I lost to a full house.
Ah well, It's £5 for an evening out and I had fun.

Well fwiw ; To me it means that the other regulars in that Poker game made sure that he started on a high, to encourage the addiction to kick in.Kwacky wrote:I have no idea what any of that means....
When they're comfortable that he's got the bug, then it's open season to clean him out.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Haha.. basically, there's so much to think about that I got flustered and didn't do anything I normally do.
I had 5 cards with the same suit and the Ace-high means its the best of it's kind.
The other guy had 3x 10s and 2x 8s making a full house - it beats my hand.
It was frustrating because I didn't do anything wrong and if I had more chips I would have made a bigger bet, he just had the better hand.
St Marks.. it's just a £5 game. £2 bounty card (you get someone's £2 when you take them out of the game) and £3 into a prize pot. No rebuy so you can't keep spending money

Putting off doing an Audit for the squadron.
I hate bull crap like this. I like doing my job, my primary role. That's what I'm here to do. Not this tripe.
What makes it worse is that there is a section here who know all the answers already, but they give the audit to schmucks like be so that it will "increase knowledge of the systems in place".
No it won't. It'll stress me out and you'll get a sh*t audit done because I don't **** care about it.

Aren’t you a SGT? That means there is a few rank levels to delegate tooItchy wrote:Putting off doing an Audit for the squadron.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Sadly no. I had Acting Sgt earlier this year, but I'm back to Cpl now. So you'd think I'd have some minions, but because this is an instructional post where you need to be at least a Cpl, I am (amongst others) the lowest rank in the section.kiwikrasher wrote:Aren’t you a SGT?
