I'm aware of that. Point is, why are you quoting a deranged & genocidal Austrian corporal??

Re: The next prime minister
Johnson's father was interviewed on TV this morning and they asked if Boris character of answering questions without thinking first was a trait he learned from him.
His reply? No - everything he learned he learned from his schooling at Eton. That says it all to me and exactly why he has no chance of succeeding. He has no idea of normal life.

Which will go well as there are not enough trainers left in the force to train new recruitsBlade wrote:Recruitment of 20,000 Police Officers to start within weeks

Where are those 20,000 people desperate to be police officers going to come from? Takes two years to train them too.Blade wrote:Recruitment of 20,000 Police Officers to start within weeks

He never said when the recruitment process will end. Honestly, if you believe a single thing this ass hat says you're a bigger fool than him.

Judging by the documentaries on the TV over the last 6 months, anyone who wants to be a police officer must be mad given the shit they now have to deal with.
I admire anyone who is a serving police. I have some friends who are CID near doncaster and some of the stories i heard were awful.
Oh and the usual - who's paying for all this?
I do hope the extra police will help as its got to change - nothing is safe in the UK presently. I'm glad i'm out the way tbh.

Re: The next prime minister
Maybe we're being too cynical. But when Labour proposed the same, Abbott was pulled apart and the Tories said the money wasn't there. The public ridiculed her for it.Blade wrote:Crikey tough crowd. I thought it was good news.
Johnson does it and he's praised.
We've lost just under 20,000 police officers in 8 years. All of that experience has gone. It costs a lot of money to train a police officer. Then they have to be supervised and monitored.
Like Monty says, words mean nothing. Johnson was pro-EU before the referendum was announced. He also attacked Gordon Brown for being an unelected prime minister. This is why we're all a bit cautious.

Re: The next prime minister
You need a degree for many police roles now. That adds another 4 years to the training dates.

Johnson is one of the worst for saying what he thinks people want to hear and then failing to deliver.Monty wrote:You'll hear a lot of "Good news" over the coming weeks, that's how it works.Blade wrote:Crikey tough crowd. I thought it was good news.

May proved you can say what the hell you like and not follow up on it. She soon mastered the art.
