1 week in. Crackde the carbon front mudgaurd.
Stupid disc lock.
Was moving bike to take furniture out through the garage, and in a rush forgot I had put a disk lock on.

Re: D6's speed triple
I did that not too long ago on the Versys as the disc lock doesn't have an alarm on it. The other two bikes do.
I now put a cloth over the screen or ignition barrel to remind me.

I never used to lock up my old bike. That's the problem, I'm not used to it. Yes I need a visual aid. The disck lock is all black so really doesnt standout.
I don't fancy an alarm disc lock, I'll deafen msyelf all the time. hahahahah

Re: D6's speed triple
That's ideal, but I prefer kwacky's free method of just lying a bright microfibre cloth over the dash or a bag over a handle bar or something.D6Nutz wrote:Oxford Minder - Disc Lock Reminder Cable (Yellow) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004Q0ZH30/ ... iDbYZ2RTCV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: D6's speed triple
I've got a cover on the bike so a cloth wouldn't work, there is no way this can blow or fall off.D6 wrote:That's ideal, but I prefer kwacky's free method of just lying a bright microfibre cloth over the dash or a bag over a handle bar or something.D6Nutz wrote:Oxford Minder - Disc Lock Reminder Cable (Yellow) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004Q0ZH30/ ... iDbYZ2RTCV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: D6's speed triple
So you can spend thousands of quid on a bike, but thousands of quid + £5 is out of the question? That makes sense.D6 wrote:That's ideal, but I prefer kwacky's free method of just lying a bright microfibre cloth over the dash or a bag over a handle bar or something.D6Nutz wrote:Oxford Minder - Disc Lock Reminder Cable (Yellow) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004Q0ZH30/ ... iDbYZ2RTCV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I can make something that does the job for free. I couldn't make a new bike for free. It does make sense you're right

Re: D6's speed triple
Haven’t you got a spare on the bike right next to it? I know it’s no carbon fibre, but would surely do till you can get it repaired?Blade wrote:Only till you break the next mudguardD6 wrote:I can make something that does the job for free. Re: D6's speed triple
The damage is only a crack/crease in the carbon. Structurally it is still ok. And the damage is not noticable until you are close.
My old one actually already has the same carbon mudguard (wonder how) except it is missing the logo

Re: D6's speed triple
try both the street and speed RS and see how you feel they compare. I think its quite personal to which people prefer.
