Started at 18 with Cagiva Mito 125, yellow, great little bike but didn't work properly from new.
Sold after 6 months for ZX7R. Restricted to 33bhp. Restrictors were easy to remove. Sold for scrap after 3 months following T junction incident which put my head through a wall, ruining my Hodgson replica lid.
Bought 1997 TL1000S with proceeds from trade sale. Very loud, handled like a boat, great motor. Insurance pricey at 18. Kept eating clutches so bought something reliable, a 1999 anniversary Fireblade.
Moved to IoM with Fireblade at 19, selling TL shortly after. Learnt the TT course instead of socialising. Loved the bike until TT04 getting overtaken with throttle to stop in 6th on Mountain Mile with 171 on speedo. GSXR1000K3 cruised past...

Ordered GSXR1000K4. Continued to spend evenings and weekends on TT course. Absolutely loved the bike. Fitted Racefit Slash cut pipe, could only get away with it on IoM!
Moved back to England, selling Gixer in process. Needed a commuter so bought 1999 R1. Was convinced it was trying to kill me so px'd for dream bike....a 996 SPS.
Continued to commute which wasn't as comfortable on the SPS. Took it back to the IoM for TT08. Revelled in the mid corner stability but cursed the lack of stomp up the mountain. Sold for car a year later (you IDIOT!!)
Looked after a mates ZX7R for 2 years to keep insurance going. Never rode it.
Fast forward to this week, picking up my Daytona 675 on Saturday! First bike in years!
