That's nothing to sniff at.
AND! - It has an ultra-secure 8-prong mount. Smart move.

Bank holiday stuff. Been out for a drive, been to the pub, washed a bike, bought some dog stuff, planted some plants, watched some TV.

Enjoy your day Rossgo, I'd advise trying to get there early doors on your time slot, there's so much to see, it's difficult to get it all in!

Taken MiL for her last but one injection.
Walking round a cancer treatment ward is very humbling. The disease takes no prisoners, young or old, black or white, man or woman.
There was a young girl getting treatment with her 6 month old baby in tow.

Cheers Rossgo, life is a bit shit at the moment TBH.
The wife is struggling with coping, not just the knowledge that her mum has a terminal illness but all the hospital visits and support she is having to give whilst still doing a full time job. I'm doing my bit but not going to work means no money for me so I am limited to a point.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Having been in the same position with my wife and her parents I can tell you that just being there is enough. You don't have to do or say anything, just give out the hugs and cuddles. Your wife is processing what's going on and she'll deal with it in her own way. I know it's stressful for you - you feel like you're not doing anything, but you are.duke63 wrote:Cheers Rossgo, life is a bit shit at the moment TBH.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I could.only imagine what your family is going through at the moment. Like Kwacky says you just being there will make a massive change and bring happiness when you can and I'm sure everyone understands you have to still work, you not earning would put nore of a strain on everything. I'm sure everyone involved understands thisduke63 wrote:Cheers Rossgo, life is a bit shit at the moment TBH.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I think an element is just feeling helpless in the face of the disease.
No one will tell us if she has a month, six months or more and i appreciate that its likely they don't know as its most likely not the disease that ends it but another illness brought on by a lack of immunity to even relatively minor germs.
The NHS staff involved have been brilliant, but the system is struggling to cope with the demand on it. The sister on the ward yesterday looked absolutely exhausted but still was polite, listened, answered questions and smiled.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I think all you can do is not to worry about any of that but to enjoy the time you have now in the moment. Sneek in bits of choccy or whatever to her keep her spirits going
They do a hard job under crap workong conditions. A lot of respect goes out to all of the docs and nurses in all hospitals.
