Seal got nicked on my 330d folding roof.
BMW quoted £900 to replace I knocked them down to £150 which was more reasonable

I may be employing Blade negotiating skills if VW are the only ones that can sort this (not likely) they owe big time after the last time they f#cked our car up and wrecked a sump.

Stacking firewood. Big Wood delivery today which should keep us warm for up to 2 years. Wood stores have been extended!

We have to stack 1.5 cubic metres to fill our log store, and that only lasts one winter (used v little this winter), how much have you got coming?

1.5 cubes for a winter!?!?! I normally go through 4 m3 in a winter that I’m away at work but last winter being home I smashed 6 m3. And that’s Australian hardwood.

That’s in addition to gas central heating, if the temp is around 2°C we’ll light a fire, but we haven’t had the low temperatures this winter during weekends which is the only time we’re at home during the day.

Ahhh that makes a bit more sense then! In winter I light the fire once it hits 15 deg, my place was built 25 yrs ago before they thought insulation was a good idea and I have 4.5m cathedral ceilings so it takes some heating.Deegee wrote:That’s in addition to gas central heating, if the temp is around 2°C we’ll light a fire, but we haven’t had the low temperatures this winter during weekends which is the only time we’re at home during the day.

We have two big woodburners which are our only heating for the house and probably get through 5 cubic metres in a winter. Wood is good value here but does need seasoning for a year or so.
Always warm in the house though
Have stacked 8 of them this morning

Been to get the wheels changed on the AT.
Took a maxi scooter out for a test ride but it really was too windy to enjoy so I cut it short.
Been to see Bella
Now about to have lunch before getting ready to go out.

Washed and waxed the bike and car, even hoovered it and polished the glass inside and out.
I found some old synthetic wax in the garage and used that, turtle wax ice. From memory it doesn't last too long but is quick, easy to use and looks very glossy.
Also bled the clutch on the bike, feels much better now and i might be able to get Neutral without dancing on the gear lever...

Re: What are you doing today ??
Also had a phone call today about some photos I took at Darley on Friday , quite a surreal call in many respects but it turns out that my photos have persuaded him to keep the bike for more trackdays rather than sell it , a process he had already started .

Not fixing a single thing, except possibly my mind by taking a few hours out of the day for a ride.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Spent 8 hours already today on my assignment - the stupid one with the stupid numbers. Well the good news is, throughout the last 20 hours of working on it I've managed to achieve some stuff other colleagues haven't so now I'm actually helping those who helped me.
Little things like having a linear regression figure of 0.9987 (perfect is 1) for the calibration curve helps decrease my self-doubt.
I let myself have a 20 minute break when I was going to play Ride 3 except my Xbox One X has a different idea and won't let me download anything.
