Right now while I'm typing this my puppy is doing a moonwalk across the landing because I won't throw her ball
Today is a mixture of having visitors, doing uni work and (if the rain stops) cleaning my bike so I can put fairings back on
What are you doing today ??

I didnt hang about - lithium ion and it did go quite quickly. Had a look at it now it's cooled down -looks like too much solder between contacts - i've pulled them off now to stop them touching too.kiwikrasher wrote:Holy crap! Glad your ok mate, they can go with a real fizz and a heap of heat!!
For a change i had safety googles and gloves on, so was able to get outside!
Annoying as i had to put old batteries back in - loads of tiny screws, but at least it works again now.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Had an early ride with my neighbour on his Z1000sx and met his friend with a brand-new SuperDuke GT.
Just a quick one before the rain, up to the Sun Inn at Norwood then on to the route 59 cafe for breakfast and coffee.
Then back to Squires via otley, the road from blubberhouses to otley is fun!
Then after coffee and cake we headed home and just beat the rain.

Is that a Daschund, Cookie? Lovely colour!
Well the weather cleared up after family and other visitors left so I cleaned my bike. I used the SDOC gel cleaner on the engine and running gear then cleaned the bike again with the foam cleaner.
Off to do more uni work now

It's like saying, "What a lovely Lab!" to the owner of the Golden Retriever you're petting

As blade said, another Ridgeback. Number 5 in fact
I wouldn't want any other breed tbh.
She's bigger than a dachshund at 10 weeks old.

Blinking hell that's bad. Glad it wasn't worse than that. Quick thinking about getting outsideC00kiemonster wrote:Replacing the battery on my macbook.
Got the tools, got the glued in batteries out and tidied up inside no problem.
Lifted the new battery (still in packaging tray) out the box, sets on fire in my hands, have to run outside sharpish and put it out! Faulty battery it seems..
Glad I was cautious and careful with it or could have been a lot worse.
Now got to fight for a replacement as no way I'm sending this one back in the post, could go off again!
Stinks too..

Finished work
Had a couple hours kip
Woke up had a quick catch up on Tankslap
Done some cleaning in the house
Popped to Infinity bike shop and spent more than I thought I would!
Done some food shopping
Walked the dog in the rain and she immediately regretted it and haunted and pulled back home
Watched a film
Now chilling!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Spending the day sitting at work when id rather be at home looking after Mrs CT. She is Mega down at the moment, she has a new manager at work who has completely changed her role and stripped away everything she loved about the job, it caused her to become VERY anxious all the time, very erractic mood swings, constantly feeling very down. This morning she literally just couldn't get out of bed. I am very worried but I don't know what I can do, she is looking for other jobs but there isn't a lot coming up in her sector at the moment due to Brexit and stuff.

Sorry to hear that CT.. if you're able to, take tomorrow off and take her to do something spontaneous and different. I know money is tight for everyone but a change of environment and a move away from technology for a day can be a massive relief for some.
Hope you manage to stay positive through the upcoming weeks or months

Re: What are you doing today ??
Cheers mate, Its a good idea but I think her being off work today means if she was off tomorrow it would just stress her out even more if that makes sense. she went out yesterday on her own for a bit just to see her mum while I had Travis, try and give her some peace for a bit.Cav wrote:Sorry to hear that CT.. if you're able to, take tomorrow off and take her to do something spontaneous and different. Re: What are you doing today ??
Tell her to go to the doctors. I've had similar and they can and do help. They might get her some well needed time off work too.Cavetroll87 wrote:Spending the day sitting at work when id rather be at home looking after Mrs CT.
