Slid it
Turns out Continental Sport Attack are not that sporty. Had a couple of slides this morning so coffee, cake and home. Quit why I'm ahead.
They don't seem to hold any heat and although relatively tame slides they loose traction very easy in the cold

Not what this review says. It says they warm up very quickly https://www.webbikeworld.com/continenta ... -3-review/Blade wrote:Slid it

You need to go and learn to do all this on a track or you'll end up in the bushes or worse frankly and no-one wants that.

Cookie that link is for the Sport Attack 3 and I have the Sport Attack, not the later rev 3 so completely different tyre. For the record I had the SA3 on my zx10r and wrote a great review about them.
To be fair I never said they don't warm up quickly I said they don't retain the heat.
What is it your suggesting I learn ? Everyday is a school day and I m always glad to learn or better myself but confused at what you want me to learn How not to make a tyre slide unexpectedly

Cheers pal wasn't anything big or any drama tbh.Kwacky wrote:So long as you've kept it upright.
They just simply slid in conditions you would expect there to be grip, but it was all very controllable. Just a sh1t budget tyre tbh

Probably did and previous owner bought old stock cheap. I'll look at the date stamp .Kwacky wrote:I thought they stopped making those a few years ago.

You;'ll need a 190 section rear tyre if you don't want to fall off the bike.Blade wrote:I've got it sorted lads don't worry

Rode it in the rain yesterday and it was just fine, it's the first outing for those Avons on damp/greasy tarmac and the traction control light only flashed when the front wheel was floating off the ground.
I'm very impressed with them.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Went for the last evening thrash of the summer on the 853.
My body is starting to tell me that maybe I am not flexible enough to ride a sports bike on the road anymore.

After riding the Ninja 400 the other day part of me is saying I should get another sportsbike while I can still ride one.

Might make the 853 more track orientated and keep it for trackdays in the main.
