Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
I'm experimenting with mirrors. I've bought these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252605318434? ... EBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They're Rizoma rip-offs but at this price I've got nothing to lose.
Tonight I put them on the Versys just so I get an idea of what they're like to use, as they've got the blue glass on them.
I'll try them on the work run tomorrow to see how I get on with them.

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
Just be careful on track, they can run out of ground clearance (Barn corner, Cadwell Park on Metzeler Z8's) Awesome fun though and way better on fuel than the current steed...
I sometimes miss my 2013 STR, I hope it's new owner is looking after it.

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
I'm not that quick and I don't do many track days so fingers crossed it won't be an issue, but thanks for the heads up.

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
What a little bundle of sweet joy that bike is. It's ideal for days like today. Quick enough, excellent handling, strong brakes, pretty good quality suspension.
The tyres were spot on while it was dry but I had another massive rear spin up in the wet as the rear stepped out at the same time. Thankfully there was some shellgrip after the point where the bike started playing buckaroo so I kept the throttle open and hoped to make it to the grippy stuff, which I did.
I've got some Triumph levers off Duke. I'm still on the hunt for a good set of bar end mirrors.

You pair are starting to make me miss mine now The induction noise was awesome especially combined with the off throttle crackle from the Remus.

They do sound good. I'm half tempted to get a quick shifter just to add to the audio experience.

Theres a group on facebook called TTRUK I was a member of, Rick Perkins is the guy that runs it and 3 pistons, he does discount for members like 70 quid down to 50, they were really good quality, exactly like the proper Triumph ones but a fraction of the price, also hes a spot on guy, When I had my off he sent me a replacement one for free.
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
Thanks for the heads up. I did look at 3 Pistons but they've sold out at present. I've done a wanted post on the Street forum.
I didn't know about the TTRUK group. I'll join that.

There are always nice streets up for sale so I'm sure you wouldn't struggle to get another.

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
I am gunna swap the ninja for an MT09, I get what your saying about the street but it wouldn't be my one haha, would never feel the same, so go for something new and different. Just need the ninja to go, Its been advertised for a month and literally had a couple of silly low offers and that's been it. Just gunna take it to a dealer now and take the hit, I want a triple again haha!

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
Fair enough. I've read mixed reviews about the MT-09 but it seems that once the suspension and the throttle are sorted they're good fun.

Re: Kwacky's 675 Street Triple
A guy I know had a very tricked out MT09 with mid 120-ponies at the wheel and ohlins suspension front and rear, that thing was good (still needed the brakes sorting though).
