Triumph Motorcycles sold 56,253 units in the year ending June 30, 2016 – the most recent period for which the Hinckley-based British manufacturer that’s still privately owned by the Bloor family has so far released figures. This was a healthy 4.5% increase over the 53,812 bikes sold the previous year, and 85.30% of them found homes outside the UK in the more than 40 countries around the world in which Triumph markets its products. This allowed the company to increase its global revenues by £56.3m to £407.6m that year, with profit before exceptional costs almost doubling, up 90.8% to £16.6m.

Thats very positive news. They have done a fantastic job. I'm positive the quality is much higher on mine than the old ones 10/15 years ago.

Without doubt. The new 765 has been very well made and put together.

That article makes it clear that quality control is very high on Triumph's list of priorities.

My Thi made '13 str was leaps ahead of my 05 Daytona 650 in terms of build quality and finish. I still haven't had a good look over a new 765.

I'm surprised that they're managing @ 15% sales in the UK....thought it would have been a bit less than that. Patriotism at work.

The retro look bikes are selling well and I'm seeing a few more Tigers on the road.

I see a fair few thruxtons and tigers about - if I had some money I'd seriously consider a thruxton myself . It's good to see a local firm doing well in a global market .

The Thrux I tried was fcukin' awful....but to be fair the vast majority of that was me having the wrong expectations.
