Base Layers

Post by Kwacky »

Recommendations please.

The EDZ stuff seems to be popular.

Anyone tried the Oxford stuff? https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorc ... rev/185271" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I use these in the winter, very cheap and very warm. They aren't specific biking stuff so there's no added zero in the price. I've got about 4 pairs, but I do live in Buxton. I'm actually wearing them now!

And the Aldi ones in the summer.

They look good. Do they keep the sweat off you?

Oxford stuff gets very good write ups.

I cannot fault the Lidl and Aldi stuff i have but it only comes up now and again in the shops. Its easily as good as they named kit out there.

They aren't advertised as wicking but just walked up 400 feet to Solomon's
Temple in them. Slightly sweaty but comfortable.

EDZ or Aldi own gear is good but would definitely opt for compression kit that wicks away moisture if wearing under leathers.

I've got the lidl stuff - 6/10 due to it being itchy, also got an EDZ set which is great - but it's not as warm as I'd like - 8/10, but the best stuff I've got I bought when I used to sail - Musto gear, it was £80 for a two piece 20yrs ago, but it wicks well, doesn't itch and is warm as toast 9/10 (loses a point due to price).
