Welsh Wales Weekender 31st Aug - 2nd Sept
We could have a base in somewhere like Welshpool, so it's easy enough for people to get to. There appears to be a decent selection of pubs and hotels there. It's not too far from the famous A483 and it means we can get to most of Wales within a decent time. Routes etc can be worked out closer to the time, but I would propose meeting up Friday lunchtime to give people time to get there. Probably spend Friday afternoon having a couple of hours nearby, I guess doing the A483 run.
Saturday we can spend the day exploring some of the quieter and better roads of Wales.
Sunday people can leave after breakfast or we can have a small ride out before lunch then everyone goes home.
Friday and Saturday nights hook up for a few beers and some food.
People can join us on any of the 3 days as they wish.

Holiday booked.
I'll look at venues and routes when I get back. Saturday might just be a day of riding about finding roads rather than anything cast in stone.

Is the Anglesey coast too far from Welshpool for a day ride? I'd imagine that'd be awesome!
P.S. I'm not able to commit but I have every intention on getting the bike out this year so fingers crossed I could be available for this

No, it's a couple of hours away I think. You could then drop down the coast to Barmouth, down to Aberdfyi (sp) then across country towards the reservoirs. The B4405 is out that way and that's a fantastic road. Then the 458 back to Welshpool.

My Mum and Sister have gone to have a look a House in Harlech today. Keeping my fingers crossed as it's on the coast but in the middle of Snowdonia. Would make a great base for future ride outs

Evo triangle is worth a visit though it can be heavily policed.
In terms of views the Llyn Brianne spillway and the route back to Llandovery via the Devils Staircase takes some beating.

Apologies I thought it was in Welshpool. Didn't read it properly.

No worries, there's loads of time to sort out venues. I know a couple of pubs have secure off road parking, which we'll need.

I'll use my Xena disc lock alarm. They're easy to carry and fecking loud. My bike has an alarm as well.

Are people still up for this?
We need to start looking at locations and a place to stay.
