I fancy sticking something in the diary for this one. Apologies for those of you north of the midlands.

What sort of route would we be looking at? i'm happy to travel about 1.5hrs to a meeting point. Any more than that and I'm bored before I get there.

I could get to somewhere like Abingdon in that time. From there to Cheddar Gorge using the back roads is about 2 hours.

End of June? It'll have to be before the summer holidays start

Suggestions?

Abingdon doesn't sound like a bad shout, just under 2 hours for me to get there so dependant on the date I would deffo try and get around for this!

I've been looking at route options, I'm happy with the end of June

My initial thought was to meet up at Didcot as it's easy to get to for everyone. Brummies can do a blast down the M40 / A43. cavetroll, rossgo, and frankie all have to ride past me so we can meetup on-route from there.

We can then wing over to Wantage and take the road down to Hungerford (cool road), from there we hit the route I used at the weekend. The route back will be a bit more tricky as we really need to head in two seperate directions from chedder..

Didcot is fine for a meeting point.

Coming back we could ride around that area then split later on. I don't mind going further south towards say Yeovil then back up across towards Bath or Swindon way.

Those of us heading north can rattle through the Cotswolds via Cirencester then Stow

Meet at 10. Lunch by about 12.30. Another couple of hours playing around that area, then home time?

That should about right. I left home at 9:30 (ish) and I got to cheddar about 1ish, but that involved a couple of stops to check the map, refuel, and put the left rearset back together

It might be worth having a look round cheddar for somewhere nice to eat, there are a couple of touristy type places near the but the burger I had was shite.

I'm sure one of the roads was one that Frankie took us on last year when we did that ride round Hungerford.
