Cheddar Gorge Vid
Just a very small section of me trying (and failing massively) to keep up with you guys
Apologies you guys are not in it really but its your own fault for being so fast

There is about an hours worth of footage in total, I might go through a bit more over the weekend as I have some good footage of Frankie as we got stuck behind some traffic for a bit together.

Re: Cheddar Gorge Vid
Looking at your speedo is distracting and could cause an accident. I think it's a highly dangerous practice and it should be banned.
Is the defence I'm going to run when I next get caught

Re: Cheddar Gorge Vid
I was advised that the correct answer to the question "excuse me, do you know how fast you were going?" is "no sorry officer, but I was concentrating on the road ahead and not my speedo"

Re: Cheddar Gorge Vid
That or "I was moving at the pace of the traffic around me" is a good one.
Not too sure how that works if you're out and about with a couple of 180bhp supersport motorbikes.

I tried that one. The frown that came back at me said it wasn't going to wash.Cavetroll87 wrote:I was advised that the correct answer to the question "excuse me, do you know how fast you were going?" is "no sorry officer, but I was concentrating on the road ahead and not my speedo"
You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive.

Re: Cheddar Gorge Vid
NICE video. What camera you using?
Another good one to use when asked "do you know how fast you were going?" is;
Obvioulsy not fast enough as you managed to pull me over.
The Police love that sort of thing.

Re: Cheddar Gorge Vid
Just watched the video.
i wouldn't worry about your pace, you're far from slow. You're riding at a good speed and you're never that far behind.
You're pretty smooth, you get on the gas at the right points and you're positioning on the road is good. You were out with a bunch of very experienced riders on fast machines, none of which are slouches.
What impresses me the most is that you're riding at your own pace and not being stupid in an attempt to keep up.

Also was really good later on when I was behind yoy guys and especially Frankie (as I was behind him for ages) as it meant I could follows his lines and learn from what he was doing on the bike

Hopefully good lessons to learn and not "what not to do"Cavetroll87 wrote:Also was really good later on when I was behind yoy guys and especially Frankie (as I was behind him for ages) as it meant I could follows his lines and learn from what he was doing on the bike
I would agree with all that Kwacky has said
But having the speedo in kmph or mph, not something you want to see on camera.
PS > that road where the film was taken is a real cracker....
