Re: What are you doing today ??
Unfortunately this is a common occurrence round our way. Once of the late buses between the villages is a regular target for bricks / stones / slingshots / air rifles... There seems to be a post at least once a month about another incident...Stonesie wrote:Soon I shall be having beer because earlier I think I may have been shot at! Could have been a ball bearing from a slingshot but either way it made one hell of a bang on the window just behind the cab of my bus.

It'd more than likely be a ball-bearing. A round will deform & shatter glass....& not make such a perfect hole. They're too soft for that.....I think.

Surely a fly swatter would have been easier. Your arm must have been knackered swinging that lid about..Blade wrote:Killing flys

Re: What are you doing today ??
Got home from work and feel like turning around and pissing off straight back out, Mrs CT decided to keep minitroll home today instead of putting him in nursery.
He hasn't slept all day, he is well over tired and ratty as hell, she is in now in a foul mood too and has barely said a word to me.
Was meant to go pub tonight. Cancelled coz I'm gonna have to pick up the pieces here and get him to bed.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I know it probably won’t make you feel better CT, but mistakes like those rarely get made a second time and if you and Mrs CT ever have more, you’ll be significantly wiser when it comes to Minitroll routine, for now, get her a glass of wine (she feels guilty/angry and embarrassed) and do your best with minitroll. Doesn’t sound as if either of them had a good day.
P.S. Mrs Gee and myself have survived for decades by never letting the sun go down on a “disagreement”. Good luck, DG.

Re: What are you doing today ??
cheers guys, sorry didn't reply, minitroll went down fighting last night, refused to have his bath which he normally loves, and in the end had to just let him cry himself to sleep, all seems better this morning, just hoping they have a better day today.

Letting them cry at bedtime is tough but it works out in the long run.

I'm out tonight with my old PT for a catch up and some food.

Flying home today after three great days on track, a mini adventure yesterday in the mountains of Spain, and lots of Gin...I seemed to have been converted.
Then tonight collecting the bike as well...a long day ahead

You’ve seen the light!! There’s a big difference with a cheap gin and a good quality locally made small batch gin.Frankie wrote:Flying home today after three great days on track, a mini adventure yesterday in the mountains of Spain, and lots of Gin...I seemed to have been converted.
