On the plus side if you're dehydrated and hungry you'll be clattered quickly and cheaply!
On reflection you arriving home Shit-faced might not be the Wifes dream Birthday present regardless of the day's stress overload. Unless she's stress-smashed as well of course?

About to get on the bike and go for a thrash down the hill, catch up with a mate from refinery days and both head down to Wisemans Ferry for a pub lunch. Be the first time I've had it out this trip home!

80 mph winds here. I don't mind being a pussy for a day if it means staying upright.

80? Pah! I used to push bike in 100 mph winds, through snow drifts in bare feet when I was a young'un.Kwacky wrote:80 mph winds here. I don't mind being a pussy for a day if it means staying upright.
Nah, fair call. That's fair old blowing!

So I guess not the best time to tell you I had a ride in a still cloudless day of 25-30 deg C

Yeah I'm not a fan of riding in the wind. I've been shoved across a lane a few times and it stops being funny when there are other vehicles on the roads.

Hmmmm....wind doesn't bother me that much unless it's gusting....it's the rain that does me in. And the cold.
With wind I just figure that at 70mph I'm going into a strong headwind anyway.
Or something like that.

Holy crap.
Glad I took the car yesterday. One of the guys on the SX forum came out of work to find his bike lying on its side.

No idea on the drivers, I didn't stop as there was police and recovery lorries at the scene. Vid here of the artic from someone that drove past earlier.

It's not really surprising as it's near Flash, the highest village in the UK. Think it's something like 1500 feet, so the wind is always bad.

Re: What are you doing today ??
That was a bit disappointing....I thought the video would have it actually blowing over as it was bombing down the road....not just laying there, resting.
