999 What's Your Emergency
Why are there so many dickheads around? People were phoning up for ingrowing toenails and minor crap.
One call was from parents, their 20 year old daughter had collapsed and stopped breathing. The operator talked the father through it and both parents took turns to do CPR. Thankfully the daughter started breathing again.
Another was a women whose 54 year old husband died while she was on the phone. The operator stayed with her as she sobbed and was saying " I want him back". Difficult viewing.

Re: What you watching?
Saw a good program last night on Channel 4 where people had to give up all of their possessions, then got them back, one item per day, so they had to decide what was important. Makes you realise how much useless crap we accumulate.

Re: What you watching?
I had worked 2 nights in a row plus normal work during the day. Watched the build up to the game last thing I remember was a foul (5mins in I guess) and then I fell asleep. Can't believe I missed the bloody game. Was it a good match?Kwacky wrote:Portugal v Wales

I went to the cinema to watch the Pets at-home film after work yesterday. It was very good, thoroughly enjoyed it well worth the money.

Absolutely amazing experience to be there and watch it live. Had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

Re: What you watching?
BBC 2 programme following some refugees fleeing Syria. Everyone in the world should be made to watch it.
Can you imagine fleeing your own country because you gave no life worth living there and not worrying whether you die leaving it for that very reason?
Why oh why does no one stop the fighting?

because guns and bullets and bayonets and boots cost money and there is good money to be made making and selling these things , provided you have a market .duke63 wrote:

999 what's your emergency. It was about legal highs.
Then Kinky Britain. Which was about fetishes. I preferred the latter.
