Got the day off tomorrow so taking the kids to the cinema then somewhere to eat. I'm looking forward to having some time with them. No doubt they'll want to do their own thing and leave me alone in the house

Good luck
Cheers mate.
Well its good news, I've been offered the contract after a 15 minute interview. Its under a 30 min commute, and even though onsite every day they do flexi-time so the work/life balance is still good.
Got a couple more days to chill before normality resumes Monday.

Having a couple of weeks off has been nice, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it..
But a new contract means a celebration, which in my eyes means the opportunity to buy a couple of new bits for the bike Makes a quick mosey on over to bikerdiscountstore.co.uk

Hel brake line to replace the fooked rear one.
Race Fuel Cap - Same as on Kwacky's and Pitty's bikes.
Some baffles.
Rear suspension bush and someone who can fit it
LED indicator bulbs
Thats the current list that is needed and achievable.

Spent the evening cleaning out gecko vivs all a bit worrying as one we rescued a few months back has parasites, took her to the vets last night and she's now on medication to hopefully sort it, worry is that she has passed it on to the others despite being kept in quarantine for over 90 days, 1 of them is deffo showing symptoms, other 4 seem ok atm but keeping a close eye and may take them all to the vets just to be safe
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...
Bit of painting, bit of tidying and sorting, talk to my mate who's going to sort my fencing about what I need to order and hopefully start getting that sorted.
Second night shift.. always the hardest of the swing for some reason. 1 am and I've got that scattered floaty feeling going on. Time to go find something to do outside and hope the coffee I just had kicks in soon
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.
Just about to head down to Wickes for some more floor paint...then putting a second coat on the spare bedroom floor, having a bit of a tidy up and then heading into Kings Heath for a bit of shopping. I'm off to the cricket tonight (T20 game - the Bears vs the Pears which is the big local derby). It'll be interesting to do that sober (especially as I'll be with a lot of very pissed work colleagues!

Sounds good. Fwiw I got some cheap baffles of eBay which were very effective at noise attenuation. Daytonabuffs bike failed the noise test at Oulton one £9 baffle later and all is well.
Instead of buying a rear suspension bush and paying someone to fit it could you not consider a linkage complete with bush and bearing of a low mileage bike. Maybe try Griff at AP he sold me a rear caliper at a very good price and was like new. The complete linkage would be a very simple diy straight swap.
