Re: What are you doing today ??
Went grocery shopping this morning and it's 109F here. Safe to say I'm just going to hide in the house with the a/c turned up to 11 and watch TV all afternoon.
I'd probably do that anyway, but at least now I have a reason that's legit.

Back up to Whaddon with the greensands crew for more MX dustiness.
Did a photo shoot for a couple of their riders, Dougie who does their training and is getting ready for the British Enduro Championships and Jamie who is leading the British youth championship with one round to go.
Both are amazing riders, their bike control off insane. I'll post a photo or two soon.

Today I have to go and finalise my will . I also have to deal with DWP again today as I have decided that I am no longer going to work , I will still attend race meetings ( even going to apply for media so I don't have to pay ) , I may take a few shots but merely as a hobby from now on . Simon is going to continue the Jacks Snaps brand even when I'm gone , I'm happy about that .

Will all sorted ( Cancer Research donated £120 + VAT towards the cost , which was unexpected and arranged by the solicitors)and Macmillan are dealing with the DWP on my behalf , managed 45 minutes solid walking with the dog today , I usually take a couple of breaks but decided to push through today felt like hell for about an hour after but less aches and pains as the day has gone on .

You're just saying that, to guilt me into taking Kiera for her walk,,,,, in the torrential rain. ( Proper Stair-rods, bouncing up to above knee height).

Should I ever find myself in your situation, I hope I have even half the courage and strength you're showing.Jack wrote:Will all sorted ( Cancer Research donated £120 + VAT towards the cost , which was unexpected and arranged by the solicitors)and Macmillan are dealing with the DWP on my behalf , managed 45 minutes solid walking with the dog today , I usually take a couple of breaks but decided to push through today felt like hell for about an hour after but less aches and pains as the day has gone on .

Macmillan really are amazing. The support they gave to my in-laws and my mother was something else.

Went for an early morning MTB ride, but had to cut it short due to torrential sunshine... and the next few days are forecast for triple digits, so I guess I'll be housebound watching movies. To be honest, I'm fairly frickin' bored ATM.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just done 3 hours volunteering at a local day care charity for children and young adults.
My new employer paid our wages while we gave up our time to assist the charity with weeding, painting and fixing the garden, tinting the windows, wallpapering the kitchen and painting various rooms. Probably 10 of us this morning and another 10 this afternoon.

Sounding more and more like you made an exceptionally good decision when you decided to make this move Cav.Cav wrote:Just done 3 hours volunteering at a local day care charity for children and young adults.

I hope the recipients will appreciate your new employer's generous assistance.

Be interesting to know, by the end of the day, how convinced you are that they do know what they are doing though.!

We've all done it, or at least come close to it at some time or other.Perkles wrote:nodded off during a teams meeting !
It's still funny though.
I did it once and when I woke up everyone had left.
