I agree. Rossi rode a brilliant race and who's to say what normal is.

Lorenzo struggled. He got off to a flying start but couldn't maintain that pace.
I reckon he's egging his team on to give him a quicker bike.

He's fast turning into Motogp's latest whiner. Despite been applauding around the track at the end of Sunday's race, he didn't acknowledge any of the crowd at least where we were

Re: Lorenzo has 'more speed' than Rossi
I like Lorenzo he is an extremely talented and stylish racer.
I think the media is spinning his statement a little to create something that is perhaps not really there. The media loves other racers to be at odds with Rossi as it sells stories and they never let the truth get in the way of a good story do they, haha. Wouldn't be a first anyway
Lorenzo dominated all off silverstone in the dry but didn't have a race set up for the wet. I see nothing wrong with his statement in current form he has had more speed on a consistent basis over Rossi.

Re: Lorenzo has 'more speed' than Rossi
Other thing we need to remember is all racers are not short of self confidence. They all believe they can win and are the fastest and if they didn't have that believe they would be pretty sh1t racers tbh. Lorenzo has not said anything any other racer hasn't. The media just want a villain in there fairy tale story of Rossi.
I'm sure the Spanish media swing it another way.
I like racing as it's a sport when I can admire talent and skill as well as competitve action. Personally I couldn't give a toss what the riders personality is like as we are never going to meet or be friends at the end of the day. I enjoy watching the racing and nothing more.
Only exception is Foggy but that's because he was a nasty git who bad mouthed everyone else which as far as I know Jorge never has.

Re: Lorenzo has 'more speed' than Rossi
Lorenzo is talented for sure, but so dull and boring. Not to mention he has a massive ego...
I hope Rossi spanks him again at his home race next.

Re: Lorenzo has 'more speed' than Rossi
To be fair all racers have huge egos.
I would love to see Rossi lift a 10th title but equally happy to see Lorenzo win it. Beauty of bike racing imo is best man wins and as long as it's good racing I'm happy with that.
I have mates who love football but I would struggle to enjoy it as although they have some huge highs they have some mega lows where as with bike racing I'm not to bothered who wins as I admire them all and just enjoy the action, skill and bravery on show.

Re: Lorenzo has 'more speed' than Rossi
My lad loves MotoGP and all bike racing tbf. He keeps asking me who I like best and do I dislike any of them. I say I like them all and dislike none of them. Bike racing and football is totally different, maybe bike racing fans are more cultured? I've gone off football big time in the last few years, it's meh to me these days.Blade wrote:To be fair all racers have huge egos.

Re: Lorenzo has 'more speed' than Rossi
Seems Marquez agrees that lorenzo has more mpeed out of the two factory m1 riders.
So how does Marquez see the contest between them?
"It looks interesting because on speed Lorenzo is faster, but Valentino has unbelievable experience and is consistent so he can take profit from all the situations,” Marquez said. “It will be interesting to see this battle and we will try to be there in the middle for every race."
