The Budget

I see the government is falling behind on dealing with the deficit, so is borrowing more money whilst telling us to live within our means.

To help deal with the debt this country is burdened with, corporate tax is lowered from 20 to 17%

But sugary drinks are taxed so that's ok.

I don't like and I don't trust Osborne

Osbournes a typical career driven politician ,hes getting it wrong but the tory government wont admit it.Taxing sugary drinks does nothing to people with health problems they will still guzzle them down regardless, its just another way of raising cash from tax

The plain fact is the western world is living outside its means.

The trouble is that it would make no difference who was in power as that fundamental problem will remain for generations to come. I also suspect that those with the real power want and need the country to be massively in debt so they can call all the shots.

I'm of the same opinion as Dukester and St.Marky Mark.....BUT....I don't really have a problem with it....it's not exactly a new concept and personally I think things are going about as well as can ever be expected.

That's because you, like most of us, are all victims of Stockholm Syndrome, in that respect. ;)

Yep, Dave is about to get shafted in the traditional Tory b@stard way.

I'm going to enjoy this, I just hope they don't take us out of Europe during the process

Depends if going out of the EU is in the UK's best interests or not, and that's a whole new kettle of fish.....if you want to stay in (not you personally) 'cos you think it's in the best interests of the UK then great....get rid of that clumsy old GBP currency and embrace the lovely Euro with open arms. But if it's just so Joe Bloggs can take his wife and 2.5 sprogs to Malaga with as little hassle as possible then who cares??
Bottom line is the UK never went 100% into the EU....and that's fine, because it was never going to work for that long....the Estonias and Yugoslavias of this world were always going to make out from the deal at the expense of those who had more wealth.....there's just no two ways around it. It was always an 'experiment' to see if a 'United States Of Europe' could be created...a brief look around the US might have clued everyone in that Kentucky is not quite Cali...
Look on the bright side, you haven't ended up with a United States Of Mexico.......yet.

There could be a room full of old right wing has-been Foreigner-hating Tory's by the 23rd June hopefully.

WTF would you carry through a policy to law-making status...and then resign when you realise very few people actually like or agree with it?

It has dick all to do with policy and he certainly didn't wake up that morning with a conscience. This is about Brexit.

Isn't that the whole reason for it?
