Rode over to JHP to pick up the SBS brake pads i ordered.
Whilst there i asked about a lithium battery for the 748. They brought one out for me to have a look at and then gave me the standard battery to compare it to. I'm not kidding, the lithium battery weighed about the same as the cardboard box that the standard battery came in.

.....and to add to the battery purchase, you'll probably need a new battery charger to suit it as well.
I keep looking at getting myself one, but will probably wait until my Yuasa turns up it's toes.

It was Shido and not Shindo. You could spend a fortune on carbon and titanium and still not lose as much weight as buying this battery.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Wound some twot up in a 5 series. Lane 3, 65 mph, no one round him.
Me in lane 1. Undertakes him. About 2 miles later I've moved over to lane 3 to overtake traffic. Matey races up to my rear and starts flashing his lights. So I drop the bike down two gears. That woke him up.
Once he's regained his composure he does the same thing. I'm in no mood to play with cars so I increase my speed and filter through the traffic.
Why do people get so upset about losing a place on the road? It's not a race ffs.

I cleaned .. no polished the 999 then took her down to Fowlers while I had a coffee, or should I say that was the intention but the queue was so long I couldn't be bothered, went back outside and the old girl had some admirers so chatted to them for quite a while then had a nice bimble home.

Took the cover of the KTM, gave it a really good clean (it was minging after the last ride), put the cover back on again.

Ah, the joys of autumn. Grey wet mornings and twots in cars with no lights on and unable to find the switch for the rear window heater
