Rode it like, it was a bitch that needed punished. Had a bit of a moment, but took her home safely.

Been using the bike for work and what a difference it makes in commuting time in rush hour! Also today went out for a 70mile chilled ride with a couple of mates. It's been great weather for it all

Gave the Versys a hose down and adjusted the chain. It needs a good clean but I'm hanging.

Not today but Sunday went down to Goodwood for the Bike fest 2017. In short was disappointed with the amount of displays and actual stuff going on. The usual food stands ripping people off, but £20 to get in, I was expecting something a little more special than was there. They must have raked it in, it was rammed. Took a few snaps. I did enjoy the ride down and back, i made some good choices on the roads. More fun in the morning before many people where on them.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Went down to get roadworthy and rego done (MOT and Tax). On the way home decided to go a bit further up the mountain and had a copper pull out and sit behind me. So decided to take a side road that I'd been told had a few good bends. I planned to just go down to where it turns to gravel and head home. But thought, bugger it, let's try this enduro mode! Now this on road tyres so was a bit sketchy but I've done a a good decades worth of off road riding so felt pretty comfortable. Stopped after a while to check google maps and exactly how far down towards the Colo river I'd got. Found I wasn't far away from joining Comleroy Rd which I'm quite fimilar with and heads back towards my place. Carried on and had to do a small water crossing then climbed out of the gorge and eventually back onto tarmac and into Sports mode. Did 30 km all up on gravel for the 60 km loop. I was pretty impressed with how it handled it. Enduro mode changes the traction control and ABS setting to suit off-road and it let me slide a bit without getting out of hand. Not something I'd do all the time but good to know it's a viable option if desired.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yep, that's working now.
A bit of off road is good for the soul. The makers reckon the bike can do those sort of roads so you may as well go for it. There are a few Aussies on the Versys forum who have their bikes spending most of their time off the tarmac.

All I did was post edited that pic so it's obviously something to do with the original pic dataKwacky wrote:Yep, that's working now.

I would need multipurpose tyres before I did more than a bit of incidental off-road. And that's not why I bought the bike. I hit a few good ruts and it didn't enjoy it overly. Plus when I came to the water crossing I was shitting myself about all the electronics. Luckily it wasn't too deep.
Still plan to get a trail bike once I pull my finger out and off load the track bike.

Actually got out on it.
Thought I'd not been out on it for weeks, turns out it hasn't been since April.
Man it was good to get back on the beast!

Took the SX to Wellesbourne for Coffee and back to base via Market Harborough and Melton Mowbrey.
Followed by the wife on her GSX F.
I'm going to have to look into posting pictures I think.

It was hot this morning riding into work. The vents on the textiles work well but I'm glad I left the house early.
