Did they start the RCV race bike up? Wanted to go yesterday but with having to take time off work for the root canal work it was not to be.

I'm currently on Kawasaki Original Parts .com to get an idea of how much my shopping list is going to set me back....
...I stumbled on a shim set for the shock. Talk about rip off!!! £226 for a set of 4 different sized shims

Dentist appointments for our six monthly check ups, I failed and have collapsing filling and cracked tooth, back on Friday for an emergency appointment. Back home and this afternoon I’m talking to Estate Agent and Solicitors re hold ups on my Mums house sale.
It’s non stop fun today.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I have made my own shims already but I didn't realise Kawasaki did their own - bloody good job I made my own n'all!!!
No, I agreed a price with the guy who then sold it to someone else who offered asking price a couple of days later.
He's come back to me and said the guy was a time waster - am I still interested. I lowered my offer and counter-offered with my original. I'm going to offer a halfway house between those two of £420+postage. I'm not all that fussed about it now because I accepted I lost it.

Yeah, it's not the sort of bike that's ever going to have me jumping up and down about it.Blade wrote:On a positive was the bike you viewed worth the effort ? Hopefully yes
It's a good solid bike that's been well maintained, full mot and most of the service history. All major services had been done bang on time.
It started on the button and ran sweetly, so all good. Couldn't ride it because of the complexities the government has made round road tax..

I offered to use trade plates when I took a used bike out and the dealer agreed.

Re: What are you doing today ??
The bikes are only insured against theft, they have to add them to the trade policy so they can be ridden on trade plates apparently.Kwacky wrote:I offered to use trade plates when I took a used bike out and the dealer agreed.
@blade, this was the silver one I linked to. No offer made as I want to see the blue one for comparison.

I've got some nices bits in stock to pamper her when she gets her next service and then I plan to right the above wrong
Still not bad for a 15 year old bike
