Honda have released a statement saying the same thing , got to admire the loyalty on both sides it seems to be a rare commodity in the motogp paddock

Indeed!! And perhaps the smart move from more than one angle....he gets to see/help the bike evolve and steer it (pun intended) from a development standpoint....a GP ride tailored exactly to his needs.
I like Pedrosa...I think he has cajones. But I think at the end of the day he has already peaked career-wise.

I can't see him winning another championship but he's a steady hand and has bags of valuable experience.
