This is what I've heard. Translogic seems pricy but well worth the money. Think I might save up the extra but this will take time. Dam me for trying bikes with QS
Rang up lots of the local (ish) dealers to me and asked for the recommended guys by the Translogic website - many of these dealers replied with 'sorry but that person isn't actually in today they are on holiday back next week, they can tell you all about it when they are back!'
The last place I tried the guy turned around and said 'he's just popped out but I can try to find out a bit of info let me ring up Translogic and get back to you'. So he got back in touch like he said and gave me a price.
Price
Less than 600quid depending on fitment time as he wasn't too sure if it be an hour job or 2 hour job. Would fit it myself but I have no garage and wouldn't fancy fitting something lile that outside!!
Translogic only do the one quickshifter right? I forgot to ask!
I have another garage ringing me back on Friday quoting a price too.
The AD is around that sort of price JHS is quoting £430 but the installation is £165. If I had a garage where I would spend the whole day doing it with a work bench then I'd happily give it a go Lol! I wish I did to be honest I'd save a lot and prob pick the QS up now and get it sent to me as I truly want it.
I can't see it being all that tough to fit but having the space helps and out of everyone's view is a big bonus
So as an update. This has taken a back seat at the moment, but still in the back of my head lol! Really liking the Translogic intellishift quickshifter, although pricey it is the best in the market and people give it great reviews so if this will happen it will be one of those lol!
Haha yes mate thats what i was thinking too lol. Well I've just paid out for bike insurance yesterdsy so i got to wait a little while to save for it lol.
I was impressed with the Translogic I had on my zx10r.
Are there any after market options now for a QS and auto blipper?
I have a QS on the new little Trumpet but straight away I noticed how much I missed the down shifting auto blipper. There both becoming standard on many bikes now so wondering if available aftermarket at a reasonable price ?
Another option that might be possible is a Woolich tune. I think if the OEM ecu has the functions already installed but not activated the Wooliwch software can make them active as well as many other hidden extra features.
Don't know if possible just some other hopefully helpful suggestions.
I have a video i took at Silverstone of the Ducati two seater Motogp bike being run up and down the box with the seamless shifter. I will try and upload it later. Interestingly though once up in top gear, the spanner man used the clutch to shift it all the way back down to first.
They are really special and useful pieces of kit. I wonder how long before we see anything similar on a road bike? Probably not in my lifetime.
