Right. Except presumably, your vegetarian wife doesn't keep a massive T-bone under the bed for special occasions.Kwacky wrote:Coming from a Harley rider that's like my vegetarian wife telling me which steak to choose
I've not seen that. I'm going to guess it's not the only bike to have an issue, however.Perkles wrote:you dont need to ride one the gearboxes on the new ones are falling apartdogbot wrote:I haven't ridden it. But I'd take my R1 over the equiv ZX all day.
its a total recall ,the engine cases have to be split to fix it which I personally wouldnt trust a main dealer to do.dogbot wrote:I've not seen that. Josh Brookes seemed to have little trouble spanking Shakey Byrne's ZX arse all over the track with his last year.
the 1199 wasnt a good bike even many die hard ducati fans admitted it and sold them on ,it will be good to see JB in WSB but I wish it would have been the R1 given he had a years development on it.At least he could have given the kwaks a run for their money but I cant see anything coming close to them this yeardogbot wrote:We'll see... You never really know, do you? I remember Ducati owners swearing blind that the Panigale would sweep all before it, that hasn't worked out so well. Needs the bike and the rider to be totally in sync and have all the luck to win a title.
The 2009 I tested came 2nd of all the ones I rode. It was great in a straight line, but not so good going into corners. Whereas Rosa is sweetness defined. Personal tastes, eh?
Must say I'm tempted to put 50% down on a new 636 and then use my pay rise to pay the finance. But from a max valve for money a low mileage 2010/2011/2012 for 4 to 5k is hard to argue with. I could sell it 3 years later and still get 3k plus for it.Kwacky wrote:So it's a brand new zx10r then?Monty wrote:Celebrating, not today but yesterday my boss gave me an 8% pay rise, my bonus landed and I received a tax refund from the tax man! I rode with a guy about 6 months after they came out, mate of a mate (who owns a 10R! ) and he swore he was an experienced rider, wanted to come out with us, "no worries go as fast as you like". Managed 10 minutes then stopped and said he was going home. We were only doing 60/70 on nat speed roads. Whoops. I could say typical, but I won't.Perkles wrote:the 1199 wasnt a good bike even many die hard ducati fans admitted it and sold them on ,it will be good to see JB in WSB but I wish it would have been the R1 given he had a years development on it.At least he could have given the kwaks a run for their money but I cant see anything coming close to them this yeardogbot wrote:We'll see... Yep, but look at this. 2015 model, 8.5k interest free and an Akropovic canKwacky wrote:£5k for an R model gives you loads of bike for your money.
Yeah, he had a proper tantrum. How'd that work out for him? Don't see his name on many 2015 TT race wins...Perkles wrote:and Dunlops kept pissing smoke out its arse and handled like a pig at the IOM TT so he ditched it
