Re: Chilly ride to Wiltshire
I tried to get Perkles out for a ride but he said it's too cold.
It's getting a bit boring only riding too and from work.

Re: Chilly ride to Wiltshire
Cheers, to be honest I have managed to binge a little on riding the bike this weekend but the roads have been dry, I can deal with the cold well for a while at least, wet roads are just depressing, so getting a good few blasts in, was fun while its dry clears the mind too lol.

At work so unable to watch the video - for the moment at least.
Riding certainly clears the mind though, I need to get riding again soon but I'm hoping off finishing my bike until next month because I have too many deadlines with work and uni. The bike is too much of a welcome distraction!!

Re: Chilly ride to Wiltshire
It was a bit chilly but the heated waistcoat sure helps, the only bit of me that was cold yesterday was my feet. Time for a new pair of waterproof boots or at least something that will keep them a bit warmer. Nice dry roads yesterday it made a change, I went back through Cirencester and Tetbury having to have a piss stop and another cup of coffee in Tetbury.

Did you go through Didmarton, Kingfixer? There's a series of real nice bends just before you get to Petty France that me and my mate like to visit some times

The surface was pebble dashed for a long while which was frustrating but on the whole it's pretty good.
Are you from down Bristol way? I forget where everyone is from sorry

Yeah on the outskirts of Bristol, its easy for me to get over to the A46 then up the into the Cotswolds. Its my favourite ride TBH, plenty of cafes etc on route. I normally try and stop in the café at tetbury on the way back cos they have fit birds who work in there sometimes.

If you've never been down the Usk/Chepstow/Raglan route you really are missing out !!!
If you want to stretch further afield than there, Llandover-Llanadog-Upper Bryaneiniemenienmnmnene is also a brilliant road over the Black Mountains

Re: Chilly ride to Wiltshire
Yes.. my brother has been snowed in at work (up in newcastle).. won't reach us down here though I'd imagine.
I really have the itch but I can't scratch it yet I'm likely to get myself a set of brake pads OR tyres this month and get the other one next month.. at least I can use the bike again. I get paid again in 3 weeks so might just wait until then and get both
