Sorted today had quotes as little as £148 fully comprehensive with £350 excess but once you start adding legal cover, helmet and leathers cover and breakdown cover to these policies the price goes through the roof so I've stuck with Bennets and got a package that included everything, the only thing that I wasn't happy about was the breakdown cover although with the RAC was very basic so I paid extra to upgrade it but all in still only £237 so reasonably happy (y)

Mine is due this month. I've not had a quote yet from MCE. I'll wait for that then call Carole Nash. They're not the cheapest but I like their service.

Yeah I saw that Blade but it's not very good cover. There are a few exemptions and the excess is 50% of the value of your bike.

That's interesting. What does it cost for what level of cover ?

You have to be careful with all these things house insurances claim to cover.

The excesses involved generally make it not worth claiming for them and of course once you make a claim on your house insurance you are obliged to notify everyone when you renew or search for new cover.

I claimed for full kit on mine after an off and it didn't affect my house premium at all.

...but yes always check

I hate speaking with the insurance company, well that's when I am not on hold!! And they still get it all wrong. Utter shower the lot of them.
All very fresh in my mind as I was on the phone with them yesterday. Arghhhh.... Hate it.
