Re: Sick tw@
Speak for yourself, I live in a wonderful community. My neighbours drop off sweets for my kids, my posty takes my eldest to Taekwondo every other Wednesday. The lady down the street puts the bins out for the old couple opposite, we do it if she forgets. I could go on, but in society you reap what you sow.

Re: Sick tw@
Sounds great Monty. But I am talking on a whole. Rentals on the rise, long hours at work potentially 2 or 3 different jobs, all different types of shift patterns, crime rates on the up, many of us move on from flats to houses etc, people don't tend to get stuck into their communities anymore, many won't know who Joe blogs is around the corner. Maybe smaller communities keep a tight knot on things but get into an estate with maybe 200 or 300 houses in it like many estates No One knows anyone! Easy picking for criminals and no-one has stood up...and No One will stand up because of our ever busier lives.Monty wrote:Speak for yourself, I live in a wonderful community. I wouldn't disagree with that, just pointing out that there are still some fantastic communities to live in.Rossgo wrote:Sounds great Monty. But I am talking on a whole. Neoliberalism has ravaged certain sectors of society, and if we don't change something soon your generation will be the last to even remotely aspire to owning a house in a nice place.

So....more than one postie, in other words??
Sounds legit.........(well, not "legit" in THAT sense of the word, but you get the point).
