See, my problem with the look of that bike is I can't tell if it's a v4, 1299, etc..
If your going to give me something special (financially rape me), then make it (and me) look special.

I read standard version is £20k , much less than I expected , and they are only going to make 1500 of the special .

It looks chubby at the front.
It looks like a technical tour de force, but thats only going to be useable at the track frankly.
As Jack said - £20k doesnt sound too expensive given the tech.

I may be biased but I think the 1299 is a better looking bike.

Looks like a Panigale 1299 has slipped a length into a VFR 800 Vtec and that's there love child

Its not a bike i could buy without a lottery win but great that these things exist. Looking forward to having a test ride next year anyway.
Exclusive Brembo M50s fitted and a Pirelli 200/60 section rear tyre as per WSBK bikes.
Panigale V4 is £19, 250
S model is £23,895
Speciale and its 226bhp is £34,995

About 8% increase over the 1299 range which is pretty reasonable imo.
Still expensive but all superbikes are.
A FireBlade SP2 is £22,225

Perfectly summed up my instant reaction to the first image.
However, suddenly...

Is it just a clever camera angle, or does that make the size 16 look more size 12 again,,,& prettier.

It makes it look stubby IMO
I can't afford one. So it doesn't matter that I'm not taken by it.

Another biased view here but I do think the 1299 is prettier. Need to see it in the flesh probably.

that Special does indeed look special!
On face value the 1199/1299's do look better, but you can't have a slimline bike with a V4 lump, it'll just take a re-adjustment. If I had one I'm sure I'd get used to it

Very slightly different note but Chaz Davies just posted this pic of it on FB, seems interesting to me that 2 GP riders there, 2 GP test riders but only 1 of there WSBK riders in the pic, Is Melandri getting the boot I wonder?

Looks a little "girthy" all in red...but the race-paint one is definitely ticking all the right boxes
