I spent an hour and a half on the car yesterday giving it a "quick" clean while using my new buckets, wash mitts and Chemical Guyz Glossworkz shampoo.

The car was covered in a thick layer of orange dust and seagull poop so I started with the prewash snow foam and cleaned the alloys while it dwelled.
Next I foamed the shampoo over the car and prepared a wash bucket with the same shampoo to make sure it had the best chance of getting every last bit of poop off the bodywork.
Drying the car is something I'm struggling with a little, there always seems to be small beads that dry on so I'm always revisiting panels I've already dried to have to re dry them.

Glossworkz.. My initial impressions are 3/5. I'm underwhelmed by it. As far as cleaning goes it did a good job (probably because it's a fairly well maintained car) but the high gloss finish didn't seem to live up to the hype - I think I got a better gloss from the Meguiar Gold Class Quick Detailer Spray.

The only thing that may be affecting this score is that I didn't get much time to stop and look at the car afterward as I ended up rushing to collect the Wife from work. Maybe my opinion will improve when I've seen the car a little more.

ive been using a snow foam off ebay and it leaves white chalky streaks everywhere
Whats is the advantage of snowfoam over normal car shampoo besides its fun to use

White streaks are usually due to excess concentration. Double check the instructions.

The main advantage is the lack of physical contact meaning you can avoid swirl marks and minor defect from rubbing dirt across the surface. The foam helps the detergent soften and lift dirt meaning you can get a lot of the dirt off the paint surface with just a pressure washer.

Also leaving the foam on too long can leave streakiness.

If you drop the concentration and it still happens, go over the car with a quick detail spray afterwards. Not only will it add a light layer of protection it helps remove hazes from previous product. These are a spray on > wipe over > wipe off product using 2 clothes.

Chemical Guys Glossworkz gets boosted to a 4/5. Now the morning dew has evaporated I can see the gloss more.

I was a little unfair on it as it definitely is glossy, however, it boosts the lightness of the colour and definitely gives a glazed appearance. It is definitely more reflective or luminescent.

I do prefer the appearance of the Meguiars Gold Class Detail Spray because that stuff boosts the dark silvers in my cars paint therefore adding depth.

I'm going to try both of them next time and see how that works out.. I'm hoping I'll be blown away!

That stuff got awful reviews when it first came out because no one was using it right. Now it's getting incredible reviews because people read the instructions! Haha.

I believe they recommend 1 spray per panel so god knows how you can use little enough on a push bike!

I'll probably try that next but for now I have plenty of these types of product to get through.

Silver cars are difficult to get a great picture of to show off results but here you go - Chemical Guys Glossworks following foam and contact wash.

With the quick detail spray the paintwork should have more contrast with deeper silvers coming through more but retaining the high gloss from the shampoo.

2 days since washing the car with CG Glossworkz and I'm going to have to promote it to 5 out of 5.

The gloss builds over time which is something I am not used to. The car has incredible reflection now so I really would recommend it.

Thinking back, I don't think I put the shampoo in a high enough concentration either, I did 30ml in a 20L bucket so this product will last a while.

I am very interested to see how this does on the bike!
