851

Post by kiwikrasher »

Mate from work sent me this pic, said he was having a bit of a tinker on his 851 since he's finished fitting a AU$10K WSBK spec 999 from Italy into his 749R.

He seems to be missing about 95% of his bike.

Looks like the structural section of a Truss Bridge to me.

Lol

He was just giving it a clean and got carried away, now he's decided to do a frame paint and full rebuild.

Me getting carried away on a clean means the wheels get washed.

Just got this in an email.. The 749R/999 being a WSBK engine had no starter motor or provision for one apparently
Only reason I'm working (loose term, translated as "ripping shi*t off and throwing it over my shoulder") on the 851 is I've pretty much finished the 749R/999. I even tried bump starting it down my 200m gently sloping driveway......only to be massively underwhelmed when it BARELY turned over. 'Course then I had to push the f**kin' thing back UP the hill......the local kids learnt some pretty saucy language about supposed Italian superbikes not be very bloody super.

He started washing it and that's how it ended up.
