Guy Martin set the land speed record on a bike (on a beach!) last year... breaking a friend of mines record that had stood since 1982 (set on the M42 the day before it opened)

My friend then fell extremely sick... now has a huge scar from his neck to the bottom of his ribs... apparently it was serious. This was in June this year. BUT he wants the record back! This time he's not the one cycling - he's driving the car. But the guy that is cycling has been affected by heart disease himself. They're going for the record to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.

Please... if you can give anything... make sure it includes a comment regarding his use of knicker elastic and an old RAF parachute for the safety devices.

How do you know legro,he raced in the 80s when I did

Rode with him a few years back, he coached a good friend of mine and I went to Mallorca with him (Legro's Training Camp)
