Off roading is where it's at.

What a fantastic day.

Full report, photos and videos when I get back home.

I've been thinking this a lot recently. Even tempted to think about buying a secondhand offroad bike.

I tell you what, we've had an ace day on off-roaders.. Knackered bruised and happy :)

Kwacky has the photos and videos to prove it, looking forward to reviewing and posting about it.

That's a relief, thought this was going to be a Focused Events or similar lose insurance cover or something thread.

Off roading rocks!

Absolutely! I did trail riding (as we call it here) solidly for about 6 yrs, had 4 different different bikes over that time. I'd love to have another one.

But if I had to choose between off-road and track days, I'd pick track days.

I've considered that myself a couple of times. Seems like a more enjoyable way to bike when the weather's poor.

I need to get home to upload them. I'm still in France and Cookie's on metered internet.

I'm home tonight.

Off roading is fun, must admit I am tempted to get an enduro, not a full on MX bike, but a road legal one for green lanes, enduro suff... all triggered by my recent blast around on that off road day...ha ha

It was a lot of fun. It's made me reevaluate what bikes I want and whether to buy a new one or a couple of off-roaders :)

I need to understand offroad bikes more first. They take one hell of a pounding!

You don't want them too light. We were told the light bikes squirm around too much.

Those 250s were spot on, in my very limited experience.

You don't want them to heavy either Kwacky cause you get knackered even quicker, but those YZ250F (I guessing that's what they are) are a class bike and plenty of go for a 250. The bigger brother YZ450F/WR450 are a bloody weapon, and would be my pick if I got another one. My last bike was a Husaberg XC400 (FE400 in Europe I think) total animal but it blew the top end within a few months and I sold the frame to buy a decent mountain bike.
